Tempted

I finished reading Tempted by Kristen and P.C. Cast. It is the latest installment from the House of Night Series. The series is geared towards young adults, which I like to read because they are easy and fast. Or as I like to call them Quick and Dirty! It was a good read and took some interesting turns in the story line. The complaint I have is that I have been waiting months to get my hands on this book and it seemed so short. There is obviously a new book in the works, but I wanted more. After that long wait I was a little disappointed that the book only covered a few days. Besides that it was what I expected. The writing isn't the best, but I knew that going in. If you like vampires (or vampyres - as they are called in this book) and easy reading - young adult books, then I recommend you pick up Marked which is the first book in the series.

Pink Lipstick Makes Me Feel Pretty

I recently received three new, pink lipsticks in a swap with one of those awesome online friends I have never met in real life, but whom I have known for about 15 years. I decided I would try each of them and share my impressions with all of you. I'm going to go from pale to bright - just because I feel like it. #1       First I tried City Colors Creamy Lip Stain in Flirtini. The color was subtle and a little paler than I usually like. It wasn't as creamy as I was expecting and had a more velvety feel. There is a slight rose scent, which I was really not a fan of. After a little while, I blotted to see if this "stain" had any staying power and it came right off.       I wouldn't buy this color for myself,  but it will go into my make-up stash at home in case I find occasion for it. maybe for a job interview or something?     #2     Next up was NYX Butter Lipstick in Little Susie (BLS12...

I'm all internetty again

As of yesterday we have internet at home again. This means more blogs. yay! So here we go. Things have been going really well on my new medication. Work is good and so is stuff at home. but as my friend Laura once said - I am not someone to blow sunshine up your ass. :) I've been having a hard time with the loss of my grandma. I'm still dreaming about her almost every night. I made a trip up to her house nad saw it all redone and almost ready to go on the market and i haven't had anymore dreams about being inside the house. I still dream about the pool and the building though. I hve been feeling guilty about not crying much over her loss. I am a big cryer. I have watched a few movies that made me start tearing up and I realized after that I kind of stop myself from crying by thinking "I didn't even cry when my grandma died - how can I be crying over this."
